Contest Information & Rules

Rules & How to Enter:

Any community member can enter
Photos must be related to flying: airplanes, sky, scenery from a plane, airports, etc. (and they must be G rated)
Limit of 5 photos per member, (you can have more photos in the community, but only 5 can be entered in the contest).
All photos entered must have a title and be tagged "photo contest". To tag a photo, after uploading simply type in "photo contest" below the photo in the <tag> field.
You must invite your friends to join the community and vote for your photos, (just kidding, but it can't hurt)!

How to vote: Simply do a search for "photo contest" in the main search box or on the search in the photo tab. Click on a photo. At the bottom right of each picture is a "rate" icon, click on it a rate from 1 to 5.

Winner: The winner will be the photo with the highest rating and the most votes. In an event of a tie, the GoneFlying Team will determine the winner.

Prize: The winner will have their winning photo displayed at the top center of the community homepage and receive a giftcard to Sporty's Pilot Shop.

Comment by Mary Virginia on April 19, 2008 at 12:41pm: Frank: Sorry, from the MAIN page click "share photos" from the left column. Then, from that page on the RIGHT side, is a link to click that says "add photos". The rest of the instructions are the same...

I had to install a new version of Java, close the Internet and eventually restart my computer before I could get to the point of uploading. Anyway, from the home page, click "add photos" and follow the on-screen instructions. The part that makes your photos part of the contest is the tag. Be sure to add a tag that says Photo Contest. Good Luck!
